Distributed Network:

  • The distributed network has no central hub, “each entity in the distributed network is an autonomous agent.” (Alexander Galloway, 2006).
  • Like the rhizome, each node in a distributed network may establish direct communication with another node. (Galloway)

Mesh:

  • a woven, knit, or knotted material of open texture with evenly spaced holes

Network:

Stolon:

  • an extension of the body wall that develops buds giving rise to new zooids which usually remain united by the stolon

  • the fertilized ripened ovule of a flowering plant containing an embryo and capable normally of germination to produce a new plant

Prototype

  • an original model on which something is patterned
